About Us

ABOUT ME

I am a SIOP-registered industrial-organizational psychologist.

I am trained in HRM and also as a Global Remuneration Professional. I can walk you through a HR Metrics framework, and diagnose the main issues of your organization's problems if you have a whiteboard and an hour to spare. I can create models that predict turnover and show you ways to save tens of thousands on employee surveys. I can also foretell executive derailments and predict team politics.

But more importantly, these are my five anchoring-beliefs:

  • Generating hypotheses for testing and simplifying complex issues.

  • Evidence-based management and purpose-driven HR.

  • Diversity and collaboration.

  • Positive impact for client and society concurrently.

  • HR having the responsibility to ensure the end-customers of the business are satisfied.

I am traveling and volunteering as an Assistant Professor at the American University of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan, and am the top MBA instructor for 4 years straight. I set-up the Ethics Review Committee for the university, and am the main country lead for the GLOBE project in Kyrgyzstan. I have 4 + 1 (upcoming) publications and a recent best paper award for social simulation at a social computing conference. I am an ex-Korn Ferry Institute scientist. I was also the national champion of Singapore's HR Case competition in 2008. I am back in Singapore from mid-2021.

CORE EXPERTISE

LINKAGE ANALYSIS

Engagement and organizational diagnostic surveys are often used by comparing with benchmarks or using gaps analysis. But what is the purpose if there is no link to important HR and Business outcomes? Why not use the HR Scorecard or Organization Guidance System to identify the areas of leverage specific to you? I have produce linkage-analysis reports for a wide range of companies in US, UK, Moldova, and Kyrgyzstan.

QUANTITATIVE MODELING

I have done numerous projects involving the use of psychometrics, structural equation modeling, multi-level modeling, logistic regression, Mixed GLM, latent class modeling, multidimensional scaling, cluster analysis, etc. I use Statistica, SPSS, Mplus, AMOS, and R.

SIMULATION MODELING

My dissertation and 2 published works revolve around Swarm intelligence, to which I used agent-based modeling to explain collective behavior. I have also created a model that illustrated workers strike to SMRT in 2012. My other works have been presented at conferences on complexity science and econophysics. I use Netlogo and Anylogic.

SURVEY METHODOLOGY

I have designed 20+ surveys for various target populations, managed survey translations protocols for over 7 languages, and planned the data collection for both online and offline surveys. I developed survey panel for longitudinal studies, and also used vignette-based and policy-capturing approaches to conducted online survey-based experiments. I use Qualtrics.
